Grange Veterinary Surgery has been in operation at 12 Days Rd Grange since 1987. Our chief veterinary surgeons and practice owners are Dr Paul MacGinley and Dr Leanne Litzow who started the clinic at its current location and continue to work full time within the practice.
All staff are highly trained and experienced. All are current pet owners and animal lovers working with great enthusiasm at the clinic. They enjoy their days fostering the human-pet bond, looking after your pets and talking with you.
The Grange is situated on the inner Brisbane northside, central to the suburbs of Wilston, Windsor, Newmarket, Alderley, Albion, Lutwyche, Kedron, Enoggera, Herston, Kelvin Grove, Stafford, Gordon Park, Ashgrove, Gaythorne and Bowen Hills. We welcome pets from all areas of Brisbane.
Grange Veterinary Surgery is recognised as an Australian Veterinary Association Accredited Microchip Centre. All veterinarians in the practice are familiar with the new Queensland legislation, they have passed all required examinations and are licensed to perform the procedure. We make all registrations on the National Pet Register database which is truly Australia-wide. If your pet has been microchipped at the Grange Vet Surgery in the past and are uncertain of the unique 15 digit number please contact us or the NPR. Contact details can be changed by going to their website however please feel free to contact us to discuss any aspect of microchipping.
Our Carestream CR [computised radiography] machine has improved the way we undertake radiography and radiology in this practice. It’s pretty much a giant digital camera with the images produced on our largest plate of 35cm x 43 cm. This image is saved to a computer and can be enhanced for better image quality. The image can then be transmitted electronically. The Carestream Vita LE CR system can process 32 plates per hour, is compact, robust and capable of producing very high quality radiographs. Around 15,000 of these units have been sold around the world for both human and veterinary uses. It is also used in a military setting on the battlefield for electronic transmission of x-ray images back to base. There is the capacity for image review and manipulation therefore reducing the number of re-takes. We can also email images to specialist veterinary surgeons for an immediate opinion. Overall the quality and efficiency of radiography has now improved at the Grange Veterinary Surgery leading to better patient outcomes.
Our dedicated staff are committed to providing the best medical and surgical treatments as well as providing the latest information when it comes to the needs and care of your pets.
